Secure Shopping

All credit card information processed through the biopods.com website is encrypted and sent to Biopods via a secure server. Only Biopods can decode information. Additionally, Biopods thoroughly investigates the validity of all credit cards to protect against fraud. For our users’ protection, all orders must pass the Biopods comprehensive fraud check and verification of billing address before orders are shipped. Credit card numbers are not revealed when customer orders are confirmed.

Our website protects the security of personal information transmitted to us over the internet using SSl Technology, which encrypts the information. To guard against unauthorized access to any account, we recommend that users “sign off” when they have finished visiting our website.

At Biopods, we care how information about our visitors is used and shared and we appreciate their trust in us with that information. By making a purchase from Biopods Inc., or by visiting biopods.com, visitors are agreeing to accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

This information is necessary for accurate processing and fulfillment of orders. What do Biopods do with the information it receives?

Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we do not sell this information to other companies. We do work with other companies and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf. Examples include order processing and fulfillment, catalog mailings, package and other postal mail delivery, email, removal of repetitive information from customer lists, data analysis, marketing assistance, and credit card payment processing. Access to limited quantities of personal information may be required in order to perform a given function, but is not permitted for other purposes.

When purchases are made online, email addresses are collected and may be used for the purpose of notifying customers about special deals, site improvements, and upcoming events. Biopods does not provide personal data, but retains the right to do so in the future.

Visitors and customers who provide Biopods with their postal or email addresses may receive new products and services information from Biopods Inc.

How long do we retain your data?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights do you have over your data?

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where do we send your data?

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How do Biopods safeguard my personal information?

At Biopods, the security of your personal information is a high priority. We maintain appropriate safeguards and current security standards to protect each customer’s personal information— whether recorded on paper or captured electronically—against loss or theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

How can a customer opt-out, remove, or modify information they have provided?

To modify email and postal mail subscriptions, preferences can be changed in the “My Account” section. Due to email production schedules, any emails already in production may be sent, but the change(s) will take effect before the next cycle.

To delete online account information from our database, customers can sign into the “My Account” section of our site to remove their shipping addresses, billing addresses, and payment information. Please note that information about an individual sales transaction may be maintained in order to service that transaction and for recordkeeping purposes.

To prevent receipt of email or postal mail from Biopods, an email should be sent to info@biopods.com or call the toll-free Customer Service line: 1-(800)-351-9028.

Law Enforcement and Protection of Biopods and Others

Biopods releases account and other personal information when release is appropriate to comply with law, enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Biopods, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Fraud Prevention

Biopods reserves the right to cooperate with local, provincial/state, national, and international authorities in investigations of improper or unlawful activities and this may require the disclosure of personal information. We may also report to other organizations about improper or unlawful activities on any Biopods website and this disclosure may include disclosure of personal information relating to those individuals conducting such improper or unlawful activities.

In addition, in order to protect you and Biopods from fraudulent transactions, we may provide your online shopping-related information to a reputable outside organization to perform address verification. This address verification is intended to ensure that the “bill to” address that you provide matches your credit card address. The outside organization does not store any personal information that we provide from shopping transactions.
