Choose 3/4 Length If

Choose the 3/4-length Catalyst if you prefer a shorter insole, need more room in the toe box, or want an option that fits more easily into certain footwear styles.

Is Catalyst an arch support?

No. Catalyst is not designed to hold the arch up like a conventional arch support. It is designed to retrain the feet to support themselves.

Is Catalyst the best starting point?

Yes. Catalyst is the core Biopods model and the best starting point for most users.

Will Catalyst feel firm under the arch?

Catalyst creates an initial tactile arch presence, but that sensation is designed to blend into movement within a few days. It is not intended to feel like a firm support pressing into the arch over the long term.

Can Catalyst be used in any shoes?

Catalyst can be used in many shoes, but footwear matters. Restrictive, supportive, or heavily cushioned shoes reduce movement and sensory feedback, which can limit the benefit of the insole technology.

Barefoot Science® Insoles are easily trimmable with scissors to fit your shoes.

To fit Barefoot Science Full Length Insoles into shoes that HAVE removable insoles, remove the shoes' generic insoles and use them as a guide to trim the Barefoot Science Full Length Insoles in the forefoot area only.

To fit the Barefoot Science 3/4-Length insoles into shoes WITHOUT removable insoles, trim the Barefoot Science 3/4-Length Insoles in the forefoot area only.

DO NOT trim the heel areas of the Barefoot Science Insoles.

To clean, simply wipe with a cloth and warm soapy water. Rinse with warm water.

DO NOT Machine wash.
